ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Allan Manalo is a California-born Fil-Am who began his standup
comedy career in San Francisco after his career as a synchronized
ballet swimmer didn't pan out. He has performed at various comedy
clubs, college campuses, and pancake houses through out 46-States
since 1987. He has performed in lineups that included Jamie Foxx,
Chris Tucker, D.L. Hughley, Margaret Cho, Patton Oswalt and other
known celebrity names he can drop to make himself look good. He has
a degree in Theatre Arts and has taught standup comedy in San
Francisco as well as Ateneo de Manila University. He moved to Manila
in December 2003 and has since performed at major venues such as the
Music Museum, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, the Boni MRT Station
and at the Waterfront in Cebu. He has also appeared on Jack TV, ANC,
ABS-CBN, and reluctantly on YouTube.
